Offensive tackle Graham Glasgow (Aurora, Ill./Marmion Academy) was a late-blooming prospect in the Class of 2011. The former basketball player helped lead the Cadets to the state championship game and was an all-state selection. Now several schools are asking to look at his senior film."Graham is extremely smart," said Marmion coach Dan Thorpe. "I know he'd like to go to a school with strong academics. Stanford, Minnesota, Arkansas, Michigan State and Penn State are all possibilities right now."Graham's parents are both Penn State graduates so that would be something he'd look at hard if they decided to offer. I kind of think Minnesota would be a good fit. Former Northern Illinois coach Jerry Kill is up there and Graham's parents were the team doctors for Northern while coach Kill was there."Glasgow is starting to set up his official visits. "I'm going to Minnesota (Jan. 15) for a visit this weekend," said the 6-7, 290-pounder. "I've known coach [Jerry] Kill for a while now and I'm hoping to get an offer while I'm up there. The coaches from Michigan State came to my school this week and that sounded positive as well. We'll have to wait and see what happens."Wolford drawing a lot of interestJunior inside linebacker Bobby Wolford (Jacksonville, Fla./Bishop Kenney) and Northwestern have mutual interest in each other, but Wolford says several schools are in the picture. "I'm still looking for my first scholarship offer," said the 6-foot-3, 220-pounder. "Coaches from Northwestern, Mississippi State, Boston College, Cincinnati and Georgia Tech have all been to my school within the last month."Arkansas, Navy, Notre Dame, Syracuse, Iowa State and Vanderbilt have all sent hand-written mail on a regular basis. Georgia has invited me to their junior day that's coming up soon. Vanderbilt, Mississippi State and Boston College have all invited me to their spring practices, so I'm going to be very busy the next few months."I'm completely open right now. I'm looking at all the schools that have sent mail, visited my high school and have invited me for junior days and spring practices."Although recognized as a top linebacker prospect, Wolford is also being looked at as a fullback. He had 108 tackles, five sacks and three forced fumbles last season and was named first-team all-district as a middle linebacker.Lugo feeling at home at NDA junior prospect in Illinois to keep an eye on is safety Nelson Lugo (Northlake, Ill./Leyden). The 5-11, 190-pounder will be a three-year varsity starter in 2011. "I don't have any offers yet," Lugo said. "Coach [Chris] Ash from Wisconsin is coming to my school this month. I'm planning on junior day trips to Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Penn State, Purdue, Northwestern, Missouri, Stanford, Northern Illinois, Indiana and Minnesota in the next few months. I got to visit Notre Dame twice, Wisconsin and Northwestern during this past season. I really liked the coaches at Wisconsin and I always feel at home when I'm at Notre Dame."Lugo had 108 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and four sacks as a junior. Those numbers were good enough to earn him all-conference honors.Gray still waitingAloyis Gray (Indianapolis, Ind./Pike) is a junior to watch in the Hoosier State. The 6-3, 185-pounder is a pro-style quarterback that played wide receiver as a junior and his versatility could be the key to Gray receiving his first scholarship offer. "I'm still waiting for an offer to come in," Gray said. "I don't have any quarterback film to show so it's going to be tough. I'm just going to keep working hard and things will work out."I've added Notre Dame to the schools that I'm consistently speaking with now. Iowa, Indiana, Northwestern, Purdue, UCLA, Syracuse and Cincinnati are the other schools that are consistent with hand-written letters."I'm going to Iowa's junior day (Jan. 16) with a few of my teammates. I do plan on hitting some camps and combines this spring and summer but not sure which ones yet."
