Defensive tackle Mason Fuller (Chicago, Ill./Urban Prep) is one of the fastest rising seniors in Illinois. "I was supposed to be going off to Minnesota this weekend but that's in a holding pattern right now," said the 6-foot-2, 297-pounder. "Arizona was in town and I spoke with coach [Bill] Bedenbaugh a little bit. They are still recruiting me but the only problem there is that the defensive line coach that I was talking to and liked me, has left for Colorado. Coach Bedenbaugh told me that I should know something by next week. Next week I'm going to visit Memphis. Illinois, Kansas and Memphis have all offered. I'm hoping to get that Arizona offer next week and that Minnesota comes through." Fuller had 46 solo tackles and 16 sacks.Pittser to Wyoming?Quarterback Adam Pittser (Richmond, Ill./Richmond-Burton) was hoping that things would've gone much different for him this year. Pittser plays at a small school in Illinois that doesn't throw the ball but he still beat all the odds and was selected to the Elite 11 quarterback camp. Pittser ran into a bunch of road blocks including not being able to get in front of coaches to throw and not having enough junior tape of him throwing the football. However, he may have found the perfect fit. "I visited Wyoming last weekend and had a great time," said the 6-foot-1, 200-pounder. "Coach [Dave] Christensen was Chase Daniel's coach at Missouri. He told me that Chase and I have a lot of similarities in our game. I'm going to Western Michigan this weekend for a visit and we'll see what happens there. There might be some schools calling in January. I know I can play in a major FBS conference but that's not up to me."Bulked up Conlon drawing interestOffensive lineman Aidian Conlon (Flossmoor, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) is a late bloomer who was looking to capitalize on a big senior season, after getting overlooked as a junior. Everyone checking out the Vikings was asking about Zach Fulton (Tennessee) and Michael Rouse, who is verbally committed to Purdue. Conlon was just a 250-pound offensive lineman and didn't get much attention. "I was definitely lost in the mix," said Conlon, who's now 6-foot-4, 290-pounds. "We weren't good last year. I think we only won a game or two. This year under coach [Craig] Buzea, we had a new attitude and made it to the state semifinals. Indiana State was the first school to offer me a scholarship. Western Michigan offered me last week and I'm going on an official visit there this weekend. I had a lot of contact with Ball State but that was before coach [Stan] Parish stepped down. Purdue told me that I'm still on their recruiting board and that they are still going to recruit me. I'm also interested in Iowa, Minnesota and Illinois and any school in the MAC."Miami (Ohio) interested in DanielsHayden Daniels (Naperville, Ill./Central) was a three-year varsity starter for the Redhawks. Although it's reported that he's a grayshirt prospect for the University of Illinois. There's another group of Redhawks that are hoping he'll change his mind. "Miami (Ohio) came in and they really want to get (Daniels) to take an official visit," said Naperville Central coach Mike Stine. "I've heard Miami is beautiful and there's something to be said for being really wanted and having the ability to possibly play early. I know Hayden is going to be a success in whatever he decides but he's got other opportunities out there and as a coach, I'd like all my kids to look at their options." When I spoke with Daniels at Naperville Central on Wednesday, he didn't confirm or deny that he would take an official visit to Oxford.
