David Perkins (South Bend, Ind./Washington) is a 2012 prospect that shined at the Chicago Under Armour combine. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound athlete could either be a wide receiver or safety at the next level. Perkins transferred to Washington from Central High School in Kalamazoo, Mich., but the colleges have found him rather easily. Ohio University has already offered the junior a scholarship. "Louisville, Wisconsin, Cincinnati, Nebraska, Indiana, Pittsburgh and Central Michigan are showing the most interest right now," said Perkins. "Illinois has shown the most interest out of those schools and they are talking about moving me to linebacker." How has Perkins adjusted to a new school, new teammates and a new head coach? "Everything is great," he said. "I'm a wide receiver on offense and play linebacker and defensive end on the other side of the ball. I'm also handling the return duties on punts and kicks."Honored to be the next great thingDe'Van Bogard (Cleveland, Ohio/Glenville) will be one of the top prospects in the 2012 class. The 6-0, 175-pound defensive back has been instrumental in the Tarblooders' 2-0 start this season with wins over ranked opponents Warren Central from Indianapolis and Palm Beach powerhouse Dwyer High School. "Things have been going great," said Bogard. "It's an honor when people say that I'm the next big thing to come out of Glenville, we've had a lot of great football players that have come out of Glenville and to be talked about as potentially being named along with those that came before me is an honor. I don't have any offers yet but Cal and Northwestern have both messaged me on Facebook. Ohio State, Pittsburgh, North Carolina, Michigan State, Wisconsin and Texas have all started to send hand written mail."Alexander visits ArkansasDonnell Alexander (Blue Springs, Mo./Blue Springs South) is a prospect to watch this season. The 6-1, 205-pound running back is the son of NFL Hall of Fame linebacker Derrick Thomas, and he is having a very good senior season. "I don't have any offers yet but there are still a bunch of schools that have been in contact with me," Alexander said. "I went to Arkansas on an unofficial visit recently and I liked it a lot. We have a huge game this weekend with Rockhurst. We want to win that game and I want to perform well."
