James Adeyanju (Chicago/Curie), the younger brother of former St. Louis Rams defensive end Victor Adeyanju, received 25 scholarship offers so far and he has started to narrow that list down. "I'm looking at Wisconsin, Nebraska, Michigan State, Northwestern, Michigan, Illinois, Cincinnati, Boston College and Arizona," said the 6-foot-2, 245-pound defensive end. "I set up official visits with Wisconsin [Sept. 17], Boston College [Oct. 1] and Nebraska [Oct. 15). Illinois and Northwestern are the last two possible visits right now but I haven't set anything in stone yet."My top three are Boston College, Nebraska and Wisconsin. I'm looking forward to getting on their campuses and checking everything out. Hopefully I'll get that feeling of where I should be and I'll be able to make a decision. If it doesn't happen, I'll keep taking visits until I find the right fit."Majors still waiting for major offers
Devonte Majors (O'Fallon, Mo./Ft. Zumwalt West) has helped his team get off to a 2-0 start this season, but things aren't going as fast on the recruiting front. Majors, a first team all-state selection last year, is still only holding offers from FCS programs Illinois State and Western Illinois."I have a gut feeling that most schools are waiting to see senior film after my third game. I'm still getting the mail and I'm in touch with a lot of coaches but not major [FBS] offers right now," said the 6-2, 220-pounder. "Minnesota, Kansas, Ball State and Missouri are the schools I'm looking at the hardest right now."ESPNU 2012 Watch List member Durron Neal (St. Louis, Mo./DeSmet) was one of the best prospects I saw on the trail last season and I'm looking forward to getting back down to DeSmet to check him out again this season. Last week, Neal, 6-1, 185 pounds, scored six touchdowns and he also received his first written scholarship offer on September 1st."Arkansas was the first to officially offer me," Neal said. "I have verbal offers from Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri and Wisconsin."
