Three-star linebacker Nick Temple (Indianapolis, Ind./Warren Central) is the lesser known teammate of Kiaro Holts and Kris Harley who have verbally committed to North Carolina and Virginia Tech, respectively, but that doesn't mean he's any less talented. "Nick Temple is without question the best blitzer we've ever had at Warren Central," said defensive coordinator, Steve Tutsie. "What Nick lacks in size (he's 6-foot, 200 pounds), he makes up in quickness, athletic ability and intelligence. He puts himself in position to make plays." Temple had his fair of scholarship offers but he decided to end his recruitment before the start of his senior season. "I'm committed to Cincinnati," Temple said. "I really like the direction of the program at Cincinnati. West Virginia and Louisville are very good schools but I felt the most comfortable at Cincinnati. Coach (Kerry) Combs is recruiting me and we hit it off from the very beginning. I'm going to play outside backer for the Bearcats and I'm graduating early so I can get some spring football under my belt. For now though I want to concentrate on the upcoming season. We have a great shot at winning back-to-back state championships."Colvin sorting it all out
Zach Colvin (Minooka, Ill./Minooka) is sitting on is sitting on eight scholarship offers right now. The 6-4, 250-pounder had a tremendous junior season and college recruiters love Colvin's versatility. He could play defensive end or move inside and be a two-gap defensive tackle. Some even feel he could be a very good offensive lineman. But Colvin isn't in a hurry to make a commitment but he won't wait until after his senior season to pick a school. "I have offers from Illinois, Wyoming, Memphis, Bowling Green, Air Force, Ball State, Northern Illinois and Central Michigan." Colvin said. "I camped at Iowa, Purdue and Michigan State and all three schools have been very upfront and honest with me. They told me that they have others on their board ahead of me but they like me a lot. I'm going to camp at Northwestern tomorrow so we'll see what happens there. Right now I like Illinois, Ball State, Bowling Green and Central Michigan. I'm going to send some senior film out and see what happens. I'll probably commit during the season."
