In the most recent issue of The Magazine, there's a feature on Rockies pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez. He's been awesome and is the NL Cy Young favorite. He's always had great stuff, but I can't help but recognize that his catcher is Miguel Olivo, the same guy who caught 2009 AL Cy Young winner Zack Greinke in Kansas City last year. Jimenez's ERA was 3.47 in 2009, and it's down to 1.15 this season. Greinke? He finished '09 with a 2.16 ERA, but without Olivo he's up to 3.94. I don't think it's a coincidence.
