Charlotte Speedweeks have arrived. Two big races, the All-Star Challenge and the Coca-Cola 600, run over two weekends at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, which just happens to be nearly everyone's hometown track. The Charlotte area is where just about every driver and every race team is based. Even the drivers who no longer live in Charlotte full-time keep a second house or an apartment in the Queen City because they are here so much.
One of the lines that you'll read or hear a lot over the next week and a half will be "These guys love racing in Charlotte because they get to sleep in their own beds."
