If you follow the NBA, you no doubt know that next season's salary cap has been reduced from almost $58 million to about $56 million. Most fans probably assume NBA players will whine over this, since that's our rep. And I've had fans tell me they think we get a raw deal compared to baseball players with enormous contracts. They think that I, a millionaire paid to play hoops, have a gripe. But I tell them NBA players actually like the new salary cap. In fact, our team union reps warned us that the cap might drop to $50 million. So 56 mil is a victory.
