Because of the big crash at Atlanta and Denny Hamlin's knee surgery this week, there's been a lot of talk this season about racing while injured.
Should we be behind the wheel of a 3,400-pound race car when we're not at 100 percent? Probably not. Does it hurt when you're out there wrestling your car in traffic with something like a cracked vertebrae or a broken bone or even a basketball-caused knee injury? Hell, yes.
But you know what? We've all done it. We've all played hurt.
