People ask me all the time if there is any part of my job as a NASCAR Sprint Cup racer that is just downright boring. There is: Testing.
Don't misunderstand me; I love being behind the wheel of a race car. And I would jump into a holly bush naked if someone told me it would make my car faster on Sundays. But there is nothing we do that is more tedious and boring than testing during the week. Get in the car, run a few laps, come back into the garage, sit in the car, then go back out on the track when they tell you to. Do it all over again.
