• Peverley pivotal to Bruins' success

If the Boston Bruins go on to win the Stanley Cup -- and after outscoring the Vancouver Canucks 12-1 in Games 3 and 4 to even the best-of-seven finals at two apiece, it's looking like a distinct possibility -- Rich Peverley's performance Wednesday will have played a major role.

After being promoted to the Bruins' top line in place of concussed right winger Nathan Horton, Peverley, playing with Milan Lucic and center David Krejci, doubled his goal production in these playoffs by scoring twice in the 4-0 rout.

"We wouldn't have won without the way he played," said goalie Tim Thomas, whose spectacular play is another big reason why Boston is two wins from its first Cup triumph in 39 years. "He was obviously great for us tonight."

Peverley, however, is hardly an obvious Stanley Cup hero.
