• You can't really blame the Astros for wanting to upgrade at catcher. Last year, three guys saw action behind the plate and combined for the worst slugging percentage (.289) in the National League and the second-worst on-base percentage (.281). Ivan Rodriguez wasn't exactly good last year, but he was a lot better than that. The only problem is that one of those Astros who was so awful last year -- J.R. Towles -- might still have a shot at being a pretty good player. But with Pudge around, the Astros might not find out until it's too late. • Well, now it's official … Lenny Dykstra: Best. Boss.
