FORT VALLEY, Ga. -- They call him "Bud." Nicknamed after a character from "The Cosby Show," recruiters already know Peach County Watch List WR
Demarcus Robinson's name. "That kid will be as good as he wants to be," said Peach County coach Chad Campbell.Robinson, 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds, has 11 receptions for 219 yards and four scores through his first three games. "He's bigger, faster and running routes better," Campbell said. "He's just a better player. Bud just needs to do the little things better and to really stay focused on football."There's no denying Robinson's abilities, and he's only going to get better. But what separates Robinson from just about every other receiver in the nation is his ability to block downfield for his teammates."I love it," Robinson said. "I do my best. I want to give them a chance to make a big play. I have to do my part and I take a lot of pride in my blocking."Robinson and Campbell give a lot of credit to Robinson's development to Peach County's wide receiver coach Nathan Clark, who Campbell calls the best wide receivers coach in the Peach State."It's all about the fundamentals," Robinson said. "It starts with the stance. He makes you pay attention to all the details. It's a point of emphasis and he takes it to the extreme.Robinson has scholarship offers from Georgia and Florida. The Dawgs were the first and more are on their way."I think Alabama is close," Robinson said. "Very close."That first offer from Georgia was awesome and very exciting. I like the school fan base and crowd. I really like Florida as well. I was down there for their Orange and Blue Game."So far this season Robinson has been to games at Georgia (vs South Carolina) and Florida (vs Tennessee). He hopes to go back down to Gainesville this weekend for the Alabama-Florida game."Signing day is a long way away," Robinson said. "I will try and pick a team, a leader. I like Georgia, Florida and Alabama. I also like Oregon, Auburn and South Carolina."
