Lawrenceville (Ga.) Central Gwinnett running back George Morris is having an impressive start to his senior season. The 6-foot-1 and 195 pound prospect is averaging a first down every time he touches the ball and has 10 scores on the season. He has rushed for 367 yards on 36 carries and caught eight passes for 80 yards."George is carrying the wood right now," Central Gwinnett coach Todd Wofford said. "Find another running back better than him on doing what he does and we are playing 5A. He can catch, block and run. He's killing it and making plays that are not there. His vision is better and feet are quicker. He's really surprising some people."Morris currently favors Illinois, Syracuse, East Carolina, Florida International and Arkansas. All have offered but the Razorbacks.La. athlete excited about recruitingLloyd Grogan (Morgan City, La./Central Catholic) is a two-way athlete from the Bayou State who plays running, linebacker and returns kicks and punts."So far this season Lloyd has been pretty good and doing well," Central Catholic coach David Fuhrer said. "I think he's a likely outside linebacker in college. The thing I love about him is he leaves it all on the field. I mean he empties his tank. He goes hard in practice and games and just loves to play. He's real competitive."According to Fuhrer, Grogan has scholarship offers from Baylor, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Lafeyette while getting looks from Memphis, Mississippi State and many others."He doesn't have a favorite at this point," Fuhrer said. "I think he's open with the process and looking for the best fit for him. This is something he's very excited about."
