Mississippi State picked up commitment No. 17 on Wednesday with the addition of OLB Leland Ducksworth (Hattiesburg, Miss./North Forrest). "They are getting a quality player with all the measurable and intangibles to be a very good linebacker at the next level," North Forrest coach Matt Caldwell said. "This kid just gets it and does everything the right way. He's an all-around good player and an even better person."I think he just built a great relationship with the Mississippi State coaches. That was important to him. That was important to his family. That sold it for them. I think it's a good fit and he feels real comfortable with the decision.
