Kivon Coman (Florence, Ala./Florence) has known for some time but made it official and committed to Mississippi State on Monday. Coman, 6-foot-1 and 183 pounds, is excited about his future in Starkville."I committed earlier today," Coman said. "The bottom line is that Mississippi State just feels like home to me. It's really where I wanted to be. The program is wonderful and so are the coaches. They treat you like part of the family, like you're their son. Regardless of football, I know if I go to Mississippi State I will come home a better man. If I took football out that's where I want to go. It's the best. But the best part of it is that we are going to get a ring."Coman plays safety for his high school team and he thinks he can bring a presence to the Mississippi State defense."I am a head hunter back there," Coman said. "And I can cover too. I just want to find the ball and attack."This past Friday, Coman recorded 15 tackles and an interception in Florence's win in its season opener over Vestavia Hills.
