Georgia picked up its fourth commitment for the 2013 class over the weekend as safety Tray Matthews (Newnan, Ga./Newnan) committed to the Dawgs over the Crimson Tide."I committed to Georgia on Saturday," Matthews said. "I grew up a UGA fan. The coaches treated me like part of the family already. There is an intensity at Georgia and I love the atmosphere surrounding the program. The way they use their secondary I think I will fit in well. I will be able to roam free and blitz the quarterback. It's their strong safety position but it will also depend on down and distance."Matthews, 6-foot-1 and 193 pounds, had known for a long time that Athens was where he always wanted to spend his college career. But Alabama came calling and they made him really think long and hard about this decision."It was really hard and certainly part of the reason why I didn't commit earlier," Matthews said. "UGA was always my No. 1 team. I kept thinking about it every day and every night. I only made my decision yesterday. It was really hard. The coaches at Alabama are great and I loved the school. The players were cool. Alabama is just an amazing place and I could have certainly seen myself there. At the end of the day I just felt a little more at home at Georgia. That was the difference."Last season as a sophomore Matthews recorded 75 tackles and four interceptions. In a 35-0 scrimmage win on Friday against Griffin, Matthews recorded a couple of tackles and an interception returned for a touchdown. Also committed to Georgia for 2013 are running back Derrick Henry (Yulee, Fla./Yulee), quarterback Brice Ramsey (Kingsland, Ga./Camden County), and wide receiver Tramel Terry (Goose Creek, S.C./Goose Creek).
