Ole Miss picked up a pair of pledges yesterday, highlighted by three-star running back L'Tavius Mathers (Murfreesboro, Tenn./Blackman)."I just think that Ole Miss was the right fit for me," Mathers said. "I really felt at home there. I also really like the coaching staff and the direction of the program."Mathers, 6-feet and 190 pounds, committed to the Rebels over South Carolina and Kentucky. Last season he rushed for close to 2,700 yards and 31 scores. He was named the Gatorade Player of the Year in Tennessee and was his district's MVP."I think I fit their scheme real well at Ole Miss," Mathers said. "I believe I am a versatile back that can do it all in that offense."The Rebels, who also landed athlete Michael Hilton (Tyrone, Ga./Sandy Creek) yesterday, now have 10 commitments.
