Chester Brown (Hinesville, Ga./Bradwell Institute) was true to his word. He said after Dawg Night last Friday that he was going to speak with his parents first before making a decision. Brown wanted to talk with mom and dad about his new Bulldog offer."The conversation with my parents happened today", Brown said. "It was my brother, uncle and parents. I told them I had a full ride from Georgia and this is what I want to do. My parents were waiting on this moment and they told me to take it and run with it. So then I called Coach [Mark] Richt and he was surprised. I don't think he believed me that I would ever call him back. I was true to my word because I had to discuss it with my parents."When you speak with the 6-foot-5 and 332-pound offensive guard prospect you can hear the excitement in his voice. He can't wait to get up to Athens."I love the people at Georgia ," Brown said. "The coaches, the people and the hospitality are just amazing. I felt like I was at home. Georgia was different. The people are friendly and spiritual. It was amazing. This is great."From the football side I like the offense they run. I feel like I can come in and start off the bat. I think I bring something to the table to help out UGA and help them try and win the national championship. I bring hard work, dedication and can become a leader of that football team."Brown says this has been something he has worked hard for."I feel like a lot of weight is off my shoulder," Brown said. "Since my freshman year my parents prayed every day that I would get a scholarship. I worked hard and it happened. I got a full ride to Georgia and I took it."
