The Arkansas Razorbacks picked up commitment No. 8 earlier today with the addition of linebacker Jakarri Thomas (Tallahassee, Fla./Godby)."Arkansas is a really good football team and a real good program," Thomas said. "They have strength in the science program and I really like their academics. They are in the SEC. So you have a really good school in that league. Plus, their staff is very down to earth. I learned a lot about their defense and what they expect from me. They like me for who I am both on and off the field."Thomas, 6-foot-1 and 188 pounds, recorded over 100 tackles, seven sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries last season as a junior."I have good speed off the edge as a pass rusher," Thomas said. "I have quick hand movement to go off blocks and I am a good tackler. I am the type of defensive player that just has a good nose for the football. I think I fit into their scheme really well."Thomas selected Arkansas over Vanderbilt, Stanford, Illinois, UMass and Maryland.
