South Carolina picked up commitment No. 14 on Tuesday from three-star quarterback
Brendan Nosovitch (Allentown, Pa./Central Catholic). The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder said that the Gamecocks were his leader all along."They offered me back in the spring when I first went there on a visit," said Nosovitch. "I love everything about South Carolina, the campus is great, I love their academics and its SEC football. Those are the main things. The pieces just came together."Nosovitch is also excited about the opportunity to play under coach Steve Spurrier and his offensive staff."I really like those coaches a lot," Nosovitch said. "I camped there this summer and they have already taught me some things. I love the thought of learning football from a guy like Steve Spurrier."Last season as a junior Nosovitch had a monster season, throwing for over 3,100 yards and 43 touchdowns and rushing for 1,725 yards and 25 scores."We run the spread and I get the chance to run the ball a lot," Nosovitch said. "I can also pass the ball well. I am becoming more accurate and throwing less interceptions. I am working on the short and intermediate game as well."Nosovitch committed to South Carolina over Maryland, Virginia, Georgia Tech, Penn State, and Northwestern.
