Tight end Samad Hinds (Miami, Fla./Central) committed to Minnesota over the weekend. "I have a good relationship with the coaches," Hinds said. "My mom and I sat down and talked and just figured it would be a good school for me. I did a lot of research about Minnesota. I know it's cold but that's okay. I am excited about the school, the program and my decision."Hinds, 6-5 and 208 pounds, selected Minnesota over FIU, Texas Tech, West Virginia and Miami. The Gophers now have 14 commitments.
