The Clemson Tigers picked up their 13th commitment when four-star offensive tackle
Javarius Leamon (Woodruff, S.C./Woodruff) made his announcement."I committed to Clemson because I love the atmosphere there," Leamon said. "I just really liked them from the beginning so I thought it was time to go ahead and get it out of the way."According to Leamon, Clemson has been hopeful he would commit. In fact, after recent visits to Clemson and camping with the Tigers, they had been waiting on him to do just that."I called up Coach [Jeff] Scott this afternoon," Leamon said. "I was calling to kind of mess with him and then I just told him I wanted to be a Clemson Tiger. He got Coach [Dabo] Swinney on a three-way phone call and they were like, 'What took you so long?' It was just time."Leamon cited other reasons as to why he selected Clemson over South Carolina and Auburn."It also came down to the coaches," Leamon said. "I love those guys. I also have some friends on the team. But in the end I just get that homey feeling there like I already fit in. I can't explain it. I didn't have that same feeling at South Carolina. I loved my visit to Auburn. I thought Auburn was just like Clemson and they have that same small-town feel that I love. But I just wanted to be a Clemson Tiger."Leamon, 6-foot-6 and 295 pounds, is the No. 36 ranked offensive tackle in the nation."I think I will bring leadership to Clemson," Leamon said. "I don't do a lot of talking but I lead by example. I am a good player and a good person. I am going to Clemson to play offensive tackle."
