The Orange landed a defensive tackle prospect Thursdaynight in Harold Brantley (Hershey, Pa./Hersey). Brantley, 6-foot-2 and 280 pounds, loves the total package Syracuse has to offer."Of all the schools I was looking at Syracuse had the best combination of academics and athletics," Brantley said. "Their communications school is great. From a football standpoint I love the coaches. It's feels like a family there. I also believe I fit into their defense pretty well."The other thing Brantley loves about Syracuse is the direction Doug Marrone has the program headed. For Brantely he knows that's something he wants to be a part of."Coach Marrone has done a fantastic job," Brantley said. "Syracuse is up and coming and getting better every year. Syracuse is making strides in the right direction and the defense is improving. That is something I want to be a part of."Speaking of defense, Brantley can't wait to get to Syracuse and show them what he has."First, I think I am an every-down tackle," Brantley said. "I may not make every tackle but I constantly disrupt the offense. I also take up two blockers."Brantley committed to Syracuse over Penn State, Pitt, Temple and James Madison. The Orange now has 10 commitments.
