Clemson has had a real good week of recruiting and late Monday the Tigers landed their 11th commitment in three-star athlete Zac Brooks (Jonesboro, Ark./Jonesboro)."Clemson is getting a kid with high character," said Jonesboro coach Randy Coleman. "We visited (Clemson) last week and they are looking for young men with high character. You won't have to worry about Zac because that's what he is. Zac is a student-athlete. As a player he is so versatile. Zac can play receiver or running back. He can play on special teams and is dangerous in the return game. Zac Brooks is an all-around football player."Last season, Brooks mainly played running back and also lined up at receiver and played the Wildcat position. As a sophomore, he mainly played receiver and a little running back. The 6-foot-2, 185-pounder has played very well both years. Brooks has 71 receptions for 1,045 yards and seven touchdowns and rushed the ball 201 times for 1,576 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also has a punt and kick return for scores and blocked two punts.Clemson is getting someone who should fit right in with its dynamic offense."It all started with coach Chad Morris," Coleman said. "From Day 1 of the process he was really more of a mentor and a guy that was there for him. Whatever questions he had he was there to answer them for Zac. He didn't put pressure on Zac and didn't do anything other than talking about the things that Clemson has, like their family atmosphere and how they wanted to use him. Coach Morris talked positive of Clemson instead of the negatives of other programs and how he fit the Clemson family."Brooks committed to Clemson over Arkansas, Auburn and Notre Dame.
