EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Odell Beckham Jr. was back on the field, but several key defensive players for the New York Giants weren't as the team began preparations for Sunday's matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles. Starting cornerback Janoris Jenkins and middle linebacker B.J. Goodson remained sidelined as their teammates participated in a walk-through.

Jenkins is dealing with an ankle injury. Goodson has a shin problem. They both missed Monday night's loss to the Detroit Lions.

Beckham (ankle) made his season debut four weeks after suffering his injury. He had four catches for 36 yards and made it through the game without aggravating the ankle. He was listed as a limited participant at practice.

Tight end Evan Engram (concussion) and linebacker Keenan Robinson (concussion) were also limited. Engram was a surprise addition. The Giants said he was placed in the protocol as a "precaution." The rookie tight end took a big hit on a pass that was dislodged from his hands late in the fourth quarter on Monday.

Offensive tackle Bobby Hart (ankle) and linebacker J.T. Thomas (groin) also missed practice for the Giants on Wednesday. They were on the side riding stationary bikes after being injured against the Lions.

Goodson was standing on the side watching his teammates work. Jenkins was the only Giants player not outside at practice.
