The Sacramento Kings have a void to fill at point guard this summer and their potential solution may arrive from overseas.

According to international basketball reporter David Pick, the Kings have emerged as a legitimate contender to land Serbian point guard Miloš Teodosić.

Pick notes that Sacramento GM Vlade Divac has a "strong Serbian bond" with the 30-year-old guard, who posted 16.2 PPG and 7.0 APG last season for CSKA Moscow. Teodosić's assist average ranked second in the EuroLeague, and he has shot 38.4 percent from behind the arc since going pro in 2004.

ESPN's Fran Fraschilla believes Teodosić can succeed in the NBA.

"At his age, his stature, he’s going to look for a fit where someone gives him the ball, looks past his deficiencies and lets him play as what he is: one of the premier pick-and-roll players in world," Fraschilla told Brian Lewis of the New York Post.

With Darren Collison and Ty Lawson hitting free agency, the Kings are in need of a playmaking floor general like Teodosić. The Brooklyn Nets, Utah Jazz and Denver Nuggets have also been linked to the international veteran.
