NBA Rumor Central: Jodie Meeks reportedly on track for November return

Newly acquired Orlando Magic guard Jodie Meeks, who underwent surgery to stabilize the fifth metatarsal in his right foot in July, could be ready to play in November.

Josh Robbins of The Orlando Sentinel reports that Meeks might be available during the season's first month:

"Meeks probably will be available to play at some point in November, a team official told the Orlando Sentinel. Meeks’ exact return date will depend on how well he continues to progress. Meeks will not be able to participate fully when training camp starts on Sept. 27, the team official said."

Meeks was traded to Orlando on June 29 by the Detroit Pistons to add perimeter shooting and veteran depth to the Magic’s young backcourt. The 6-foot-4 guard out of Kentucky signed a three-year, $19.5 million contract with the Pistons in 2014 but has played only 63 games over the past two seasons. He missed the first 22 games of 2014-15 with a lower back injury. In 2015-16, he played only three games because of a right foot injury.
