Monday's Suns News: Williams produces when given a chance

Suns show fight but fall short in loss to Bucks: After the second miss Sunday, Marquese Chriss back-pedaled. The rookie forward chewed on his mouth guard. He slapped hands with teammate T.J. Warren. A section of Bucks fans chanted his name, "Marquese! Marquese!" Down one with 30 seconds left, Chriss missed two free throws, a key moment in Milwaukee's 100-96 win over the Suns in front of 16,051 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. -- The Arizona Republic

Dragan Bender working back from injury: An hour before Sunday’s tip-off, Dragan Bender, dressed in workout gear, grabbed some weights outside the Suns locker room and went to work. Beside him, center Alex Len stretched with a trainer at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. While Len prepared for his second consecutive start, Bender simply was trying to keep in shape. On Feb. 8, the rookie forward had minor surgery on his right ankle. Initial reports indicated Bender was done for the season. The Suns set the timetable for 4-6 weeks. -- The Arizona Republic

Alan Williams continues to put up big numbers every chance he gets: Alan Williams has been productive everywhere he has gone. He averaged at least 17 points and 10 rebounds per game in his final three seasons in college, earned All-NBA Summer League Second Team honors in his first NBA look and then went on to average 20.8 points and a league-leading 15.4 rebounds per game for the Qingdao DoubleStar Eagles of the Chinese Basketball Association. -- ArizonaSports.com
