Friday's Suns News: Brandon Knight adjusting to sixth-man role

Brandon Knight getting started in new role: Brandon Knight had fair warning to prepare for his basketball life as a sixth man, but the preseason has not afforded him much of a chance to get used to the new role. The Suns enter Friday night’s preseason finale, in Anaheim, Calif., against the Lakers, with their starting lineup in place for the first time since the opener. That has altered rotations, and Knight did not have the sixth-man role in the past two games, when he missed one because of a knee injury and started another when Devin Booker had an ankle sprain. -- The Arizona Republic

Alan Williams featured on koozies to benefit Phoenix animal rescue: A single tweet sent by Suns center Alan Williams will do more than most other collections of 140 characters. The niche basketball fan blog NBA Catwatch, which chronicles pro basketball players who own cats, has created a koozie featuring its logo and one tweet by the Phoenix center. Sales for the koozies will be donated to the HALO Animal Rescue in Phoenix, according to NBA Catwatch’s website. -- ArizonaSports.com
