Magic training camp roster breakdown

The Orlando Magic open training camp with a 19-man roster. Out of this group, 13 players have full salary protection for the 2016-17 season, while the other six were signed to non-guaranteed deals. Here is the breakdown:

Full Salary Protection: D.J. Augustin, Bismack Biyombo, Evan Fournier, Aaron Gordon, Jeff Green, Mario Hezonja, Serge Ibaka, Jodie Meeks, Elfrid Payton, Nikola Vucevic, C.J. Watson, C.J. Wilcox and Stephen Zimmerman

Partial Salary Protection: None

No Salary Protection: Cliff Alexander, Branden Dawson, Nick Johnson, Kevin Murphy, Arinze Onuaku and Damjan Rudez

Roster Outlook: With two roster spots open for competition during the preseason, Alexander and Rudez may have the advantage to stay with the team when the regular season starts, as the Magic could use more depth in the frontcourt.

2016-17 Salary Cap Outlook: The Magic will start the regular season $12.6 million over the salary cap and $7.5 million under the luxury tax line, if they open up with a full 15-man roster.
