Hawks open camp with Splitter a near full participant, Jack limited: Tiago Splitter is ready. Jarrett Jack is not quite there. The Hawks open training camp next week with two players coming off significant injuries that ended their campaigns last season. Both will be training camp participates – to varying degrees – after off-season surgeries. Splitter was plagued by injury in his first season with the Hawks after being acquired from the Spurs. -- The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Schroder and Howard in, but will the rest of Hawks’ starting lineup change?: I sat down with Hawks President of Basketball Operations and head coach Mike Budenholzer today in advance of training camp. There is not a lot of room for improvement but Hawks coaches and players believe recent lineup changes and roster additions can make a different this season. -- The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Tax break deal for Atlanta Hawks facility questioned: A tax incentives deal for the Atlanta Hawks will help the team build a practice facility in Brookhaven, but the agreement also calls for the Hawks to make payments back to the city’s economic development agency. That’s a problem for officials with DeKalb County’s government and public school system, who object to the $11 million tax incentive arrangement. -- The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
