Friday's Hawks Links: How the offense will change with Howard on the team

How the Hawks offense will be different with Howard: The Atlanta Hawks offense is going to be different this season. It has to be. In the first three seasons under coach Mike Budenholzer, the Hawks’ ball-movement offense worked with Al Horford in the middle. The center stretched the floor by eventually extending his range out to the 3-point line and pulling the opposition’s big man away from the basket. Now comes change. Dwight Howard joined the Hawks as a free agent and Horford left for the Celtics this summer. Howard is a traditional center who will play in and out of the post. -- The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Hawks sign Solomon, will attend training camp: The Hawks will sign Richard Solomon to a non-guaranteed contract and the forward will join the team for training camp in two weeks, according to several people familiar with the situation. Exact terms of the contract are not known. The 6-foot-11, 235-pound Solomon worked out for the Hawks this week. -- The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
