          Hawks will open seven-game preseason schedule on Oct. 6

          The Atlanta Hawks will visit the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday, Oct. 6 to begin their seven-game preseason schedule. The team released the schedule on Tuesday.

          The Hawks will play three games at Philips Arena, beginning with a visit from the NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday, Oct. 10.

          The four road dates will include the preseason finale against the Chicago Bulls played in Omaha, Nebraska.

          Tipoff times haven't been determined.

          The schedule:

          • Thursday, Oct. 6 at Memphis Grizzlies (FedEx Forum)

          • Saturday, Oct. 8 at San Antonio Spurs (AT&T Center)

          • Monday, Oct. 10 vs. Cleveland Cavaliers (Philips Arena)

          • Thursday, Oct. 13 vs. Detroit Pistons (Philips Arena)

          • Sunday, Oct. 16 at Orlando Magic (Amway Center)

          • Tuesday, Oct. 18 vs. New Orleans Pelicans (Philips Arena)

          • Thursday, Oct. 20 vs. Chicago Bulls (CenturyLink Arena, Omaha, Nebraska)
