Tim Lincecum isn't giving up just yet.

Rumor Central

Jon Heyman of Today's Knuckleball reports that Lincecum is "said to be determined to come back next year and give it another try" after a rough go in the majors this season. The 32-year-old righty was signed and later designated for assignment by the Los Angeles Angels. He went 2-6 with a 9.16 ERA in nine starts with the Halos.

Lincecum ended up spending the remainder of the season with the Angels' Triple-A affiliate in Salt Lake, since no team claimed him after he was DFA'd. Lincecum went 0-1 with an ERA under 4.00 and 14 strikeouts in three starts with Salt Lake between late August and early September.

In 2015, Lincecum had season-ending surgery on his left hip, which required five months of rehab. He held a showcase for teams in May and reportedly wasn't offered by his former team, the San Francisco Giants. He signed a one-year, $2.5 million deal with the Angels.

Lincecum won two Cy Young awards (2008 and 2009), two World Series titles (2010 and 2012) and threw two no-hitters (2013 and 2014) as a Giant. A four-time All-Star, he was 108-83 with a 3.61 ERA and 1,704 strikeouts in nine years with San Francisco.
