Before the season began, I had Geoff Kulesa, who runs wunderdog.com, on my podcast. Geoff is an analytics guy turned bettor with an MBA from Northwestern. He runs countless systems before every NFL game, and every other sport for that matter, to give himself an edge in examining point spreads, future bets, money lines, halves, etc. A couple of years, also on my podcast, he made a proclamation: The Carolina Panthers would finish the season with a better than .500 record against the spread. He was so sure of his prediction that he promised a season's worth of free gambling advice to the first listener who called him out and bet against him.
Many, many people did not agree with Geoff. They were all wrong.
