El Tri came out flying in its Under-20 CONCACAF Championship debut Tuesday, and all clues seem to indicate that it will maintain that form through the rest of the tournament. The opener was an informative display, as many of these players see limited minutes at the club level.

Here are a few players from the U-20 national team who could be moving up our U-21 rankings when the next edition comes out.

Jesus Corona, MF, Monterrey

Corona stole the show Tuesday night and figures to do so again many times with this version of El Tri's U-20s. The mobile attacker pops up in the right places to score but can also create with the ball. His two goals were very different in nature -- the first a shot from the top of the box, the second a poacher's effort at the back post -- but prove that Corona is quickly learning how to be a useful attacker in more than one way. After a sparkling FIFA Club World Cup, Corona has emerged as the star of this generation of U-20s. Look for him to garner major attention from abroad in the coming months and to appear near the top of our next U-21 list.
