Mexico capped off a memorable year by strolling to a 2-0 victory Tuesday against El Salvador in Torreon, Mexico. Similar to the victory over Guyana on Friday, Mexico dominated from start to finish, though it took until the 64th minute for El Tri to open the scoring. Oribe Peralta struck first and Javier Hernandez added the second in the 85th as El Tri marched on to the hexagonal phase of qualifying for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

El Tri put up some incredible numbers in its six qualifying matches, posting six wins, 18 points, 15 goals scored and just two goals allowed. You can't really ask for more.
