Somewhat lost in the immense shadow of the gold medal-winning performance at the Olympics were the individual showings that made the feat possible for El Tri. Also somewhat forgotten was that, before the tournament, one major hope was to get some of El Tri's young stars some exposure overseas.

The proverbial "shop window" effect did take place in London, despite the dominant headlines about medals. But with the transfer window quickly closing in Europe, it looks as though most of El Tri's Olympic stars will nevertheless stay put for the time being.

That may be for the best, as the improving Mexican league -- where El Tri's future stars continue to grow and develop -- is a great fit for everyone. But for speculation's sake and future reference, let's take a look at some of the other leagues particularly tailored to the skill sets of some of El Tri's Olympic champions.

The ironic thing is that while he stars for El Tri and his value climbs higher and higher with each international tournament chance, Enriquez has yet to lock down a consistent starting spot for Chivas.
