Just 27 years old at the time, Frank Zoeller -- affectionately known as Fuzzy -- came to Augusta National as a Masters rookie. He would leave with the first of his two career majors.
At 8-under-par 280, Zoeller was tied with Tom Watson and Ed Sneed before winning in the tournament's first sudden-death playoff in history.
After his victory, Zoeller received the winner's green jacket from 1978 Masters champion Gary Player.
