DETROIT -- Connecticut coach Jim Calhoun doesn't seem too concerned about playing Michigan State at Ford Field, which is about 90 miles from the MSU campus in East Lansing. "I don't think that's a major problem," Calhoun said. Calhoun said it can't be worse than when the Huskies played North Carolina in the East Regional finals of the 1998 NCAA tournament in Greensboro, N.C. The Tar Heels won that game 75-64. "True story," Calhoun said. "The ushers in Greensboro at the time were handing out blue and white shakers. The ushers were employed for Greensboro." As long as Calhoun doesn't see green and white shakers being passed out on Saturday, he thinks his team will handle the atmosphere OK. "I think once the game begins, I don't think it makes any difference," Calhoun said. "We've got to play basketball. We had to go to Louisville before 20,000 people. Once you get a big crowd, once you get something that's very important, we're just going to have to play basketball. We have been a very good road team this year, but we're playing a really good team."
