Notes on the new bracket now that the NBA draft withdrawal deadline has passed:
• Texas is the "biggest loser" on the board. The Longhorns figured to lose some combination of Jordan Hamilton, Tristan Thompson and Cory Joseph, but not all three. As a result, the Horns fall from a reluctant fourth No. 1 seed all the way to a No. 8. The Big 12 is suddenly as wide open as it has been in recent memory with both Texas and Kansas forced to rely on almost entirely new casts of characters.
• Duke assumes Texas' position as the fourth No. 1 seed. The Blue Devils were No. 5 overall a month ago, so this wasn't a particularly tough call. Not surprisingly, the Dookies join Kentucky, Ohio State and archrival North Carolina on the top line. And it's the Tar Heels sitting as the new No. 1 overall (passing Kentucky) with UK's Brandon Knight staying in the draft and rising sophomore Harrison Barnes returning to Chapel Hill.
