The last unbeaten has fallen. 1976 Indiana Hoosiers? 1972 Miami Dolphins? You're safe. But what about the other end of the spectrum? You have to look way under the radar to learn the following:
• Alcorn State (SWAC), Bryant (Northeast Conference) and North Carolina Central (Independent) are a combined 0-59 against Division I opponents. NCCU has four victories against non-DI competition, but nothing against the big boys. Ken Pomeroy predicts DI victories for Alcorn (Feb. 27 vs. Southern) and NCCU (Feb. 10) vs. Maryland-Eastern Shore, but zilch for Bryant. That would be 0-30 for the Bulldogs. Ouch.
