The 2009-10 season has passed its midpoint. Selection Sunday is exactly two months from today (really!). So here's my mostly annual list of "teams already in the NCAA tournament, barring a major accident." What we're saying is that these 15 teams need only "hold serve" (e.g., win the games they're supposed to) to assure themselves a place in the field. You might be surprised at some of the names, especially the ones on the outside of the field still looking in. First, let's start with the schools in prime position.
