Linebacker Frank Clark (Cleveland, Ohio/Glenville) has narrowed his choices down to three schools, Michigan, Michigan State and North Carolina. He has made official visits to all three.Clark had a visit planned this weekend to Minnesota, but that trip is off."Their coaches haven't been calling so I'm not visiting there," Clark said. "It's down to three schools."North Carolina coach Butch Davis has already made his home visit with Clark and Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio stopped at Glenville to see Clark on Monday. Clark expects Michigan coach Brady Hoke to stop in either Thursday or Friday."I think I'll wait until signing day to announce," said Clark, who declined to name a favorite. The 6-foot-3, 210-pounder played outside linebacker and tight end during his senior season. He made 70 tackles including 19 sacks while catching 12 passes with three touchdowns.Poole to visit Michigan SaturdayLinebacker Antonio Poole (Cincinnati, Ohio/Winton Woods) has not been to Michigan since he has been in high school, but that didn't stop him from committing to the Wolverines on Tuesday."You just get the feeling when it's time to commit," Poole said. "I visited there when I was younger. When coach [Brady] Hoke came in they offered me (a scholarship). I like the tradition and the academics at Michigan."New Michigan defensive coordinator Greg Mattison should also be given some credit for Poole selecting the Wolverines."He had a big part in it," Poole said. "I like the new coaching staff."Poole made official visits to Purdue, Kentucky, Miami and Wake Forest before selecting the Wolverines. He will make his official visit to Michigan this weekend. The 6-1, 212-pounder will play 'Will' linebacker for the Wolverines.Poole is not the only prospect Mattison has played a part in convincing Michigan is the right place. Though he has been on the job for less than two weeks, Mattison has also helped keep defensive back Blake Countess (Olney, Md./Good Counsel) in Michigan's class.Countess committed to the Wolverines when Rich Rodriguez was at the helm. After Rodriguez was fired Countess thought about some other schools, but Mattison helped seal the deal for Countess to stay with his Michigan commitment.
