Since taking over for Rich Rodriguez, new Michigan coach Brady Hoke has picked up four commitments and it looks like he's close to landing two more. After making an official visit to Illinois this past weekend, offensive lineman
Chris Bryant (Chicago, Ill./Simeon) is through with his trips."It was good," Bryant said of his trip to Champaign. "I had a good time. I had a chance to be around the coaches again. I got to know them more. And I liked hanging out with the players. I got to know them more. I could see the family atmosphere there."Bryant has made official visits to Illinois, Michigan, Arizona and Pitt. "That's it," he said. "I'm announcing on Jan. 28. This week will be a time for me to think everything over."Before Rodriguez was fired, Bryant seemed to be favoring Michigan. It remains to be seen if Hoke has recaptured Bryant's interest enough to land the 6-foot-5 and 330-pound guard, but it would not be a shock if Bryant picked the Wolverines. It also would not be a shock if linebacker
Frank Clark (Cleveland, Ohio/Glenville) picks the Wolverines.Clark was in Ann Arbor over the weekend on an official visit to Michigan."I loved it," Clark said. "I had a great time at Michigan. I think it was my fourth time there. Each time has been better."Clark's player hosts were Cam Gordon and Denard Robinson."I had a great time with the players," Clark said. "I talked to coach Hoke. He loves his players. He wants a team that is close knit."Clark has also made official visits tMichigan State and North Carolina. He has a visit scheduled to Minnesota this coming weekend, but may not make the trip."I'm not sure about that visit right now," Clark said. "I was thinking about announcing on Friday. But now I'm thinking about announcing on national signing day. If I take a visit this weekend it will be Minnesota."When asked to name his leader between Michigan State, Michigan and North Carolina, Clark said, "As of right now I'm on the edge. There are different things I like about each one."The 6-3, 210-pounder played outside linebacker and tight end during his senior season. He made 70 tackles including 19 sacks while catching 12 passes with three touchdowns.
