Under Armour All-American linebacker James Vaughters (Tucker, Ga./Tucker) has re-affirmed his commitment to Stanford. The ESPNU 150 prospect committed to Stanford on June 17, but re-opened his recruitment to some extent when Jim Harbaugh left Stanford for the San Francisco 49ers. Vaughters added official visits to Florida Jan. 21 and Ohio State Jan. 28 to his Stanford visit, which was last weekend. However, after visiting the Cardinal, talking things over with new Stanford coach David Shaw, and thinking about things for a few days, Vaughters has decided to end the recruiting process."James Vaughters has re-affirmed his commitment to Stanford," Jonathan Vaughters, James' dad, wrote in a text message. "He really liked everything he heard from coach (Will) Muschamp and staff and loves coach (Jim) Tressel and his staff as well as continued interest from UGA and Georgia Tech. But his heart is with Stanford. He has really appreciated the fan support from Florida, Ohio State, UGA and Georgia Tech."But he has decided not to take his official visits to Florida or Ohio State."Shaw was one of Harbaugh's assistants before being elevated to the Stanford head coaching position.Junior Darboh has four offersWide receiver Amara Darboh (West Des Moines, Iowa/Dowling), one of the top juniors in the Midwest, caught 49 passes with six touchdowns during his junior season, while leading his team to a 14-0 record and a state championship.Recruiters are well aware of Darboh. He has four scholarship offers and more are almost certain to follow."I have offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Wisconsin and Notre Dame," Darboh said. "I went to a game at each one of those schools and I went to an Iowa junior day last Sunday. I'm going to Iowa State Feb. 5 for a visit."The 6-2, 200-pounder will also take some other trips during the summer."I'm going to visit Nebraska," Darboh said. "I'm going out to USC this summer, Oregon and Texas A&M."Darboh is going to take his time evaluating schools and making his college choice."I don't really have a favorite right now," he said. "I'm just trying to get out there and look at the schools."
