Linebacker/defensive end Andre Sturdivant (Cleveland, Ohio/Glenville) and his teammate, wide receiver Shane Wynn, made officials visit to Penn State this past weekend. "It was interesting and exciting at the same time," Sturdivant said. "Just meeting Joe Paterno itself was exciting. That was like a dream come true. We had breakfast before I left. He was talking about life and explaining what I could get out of going to Penn State and life in general."Sturdivant is making an official visit to Michigan State this coming weekend followed by an official visit to Ohio State the weekend of Jan. 28. The Buckeyes have not offered Sturdivant a scholarship, but the Nittany Lions and Spartans have. The 6-foot-3, 250-pounder has no favorites at this time. Like Sturdivant, Wynn was impressed with his visit to Penn State, but is likely going to continue to make official visits.Wynn is not only a speedy wide receiver prospect, but a game-breaking kickoff and punt returner. He just received a scholarship offer from Hawaii and might visit Michigan this coming weekend followed by Hawaii the weekend of Jan. 28.Yet another Glenville star, quarterback Cardale Jones (Cleveland, Ohio/Glenville), was going to visit Penn State this past weekend, but the Nittany Lions are no longer looking for a quarterback.Jones does not have an official visit scheduled this coming weekend, but has one planned to Ohio State at the end of the month."I'm going to Ohio State the weekend of Jan. 28," Jones said. "Coach (Tony) Overton (Glenville offensive coordinator) called them and set it up."Jones is definitely interested in joining Ohio State's already very strong recruiting class. However, the Buckeyes have not offered him a scholarship. He also mentions Miami as a possible official visit.
