Darian Cooper (Hyattsville, Md./DeMatha) has eliminated one Big Ten program from contention, narrowing his choices down to four schools.Cooper was scheduled to make an official visit to Michigan this past weekend, but with the firing of Rich Rodriguez the Wolverines cancelled all visits for the weekend and Cooper has no plans to reschedule his trip to Ann Arbor."No, Michigan is definitely out," Cooper said. "I'm not looking at them at all anymore."Cooper has made official visits to Michigan State and Georgia Tech and he has trips set to Penn State Jan. 14 and Iowa Jan. 21."It's down to those four," Cooper said. "I might make a signing day decision. I definitely plan to take those last two visits."When asked which school sits at the top of his list, Cooper said, "I can't really say I have a favorite yet because I haven't visited all four schools."The 6-foot-1, 285-pounder played both defensive tackle and end this season and led the Stags in sacks and tackles for loss.
Hendy likely to visit Penn State this weekendDefensive back
Jeremiah Hendy (Bowie, Md./Bowie) has made official visits to Iowa and Maryland. His next trip will likely be to Penn State this weekend. Hendy is also scheduled to visit Virginia Jan. 21."There's a good chance I'll visit Penn State this weekend, but it's not 100 percent right now," Hendy said. "I'm thinking about North Carolina State or UCLA for my other visit."Hendy has scholarship offers from Iowa, Maryland and Virginia, but not Penn State, North Carolina State or UCLA."I'd have to say Iowa and Virginia are on top," Hendy said. "But I want to visit Virginia before I decide."The 6-1, 190-pounder made 30 tackles and intercepted five passes during his senior season.
