Lineman Jack Miller (Toledo, Ohio/St. John's) visited Michigan State last Monday. Today he heads back to the same state, this time to visit the Michigan Wolverines.Miller is one of the top two-way line prospects in the state of Ohio. The 6-foot-4 and 270-pound Miller started at both defensive end and offensive right tackle during his junior season. Some schools are recruiting Miller as a defensive end, some as a defensive tackle and others as an offensive tackle.Miller estimates his scholarship offer total to stand at between 20 and 25. His list includes Michigan State, Boston College, Illinois, Northwestern, Pitt, North Carolina, West Virginia, Stanford, Louisville and Syracuse. It would be anything but a surprise to see Miller land an offer from the Wolverines today. Whether or not that would move Michigan to the top or near the top of Miller's list remains to be seen. "Boston College, I'm really interested in them," Miller said. "I really like Michigan State, I like Pitt and Stanford. I'd say those are some of the top ones I have offers from."Barnes' offer list doubles
In the past month defensive end Deion Barnes (Philadelphia, Pa./Northeast) has seen his list of scholarship offers more than double to 13. His most recent additions are Georgia, Purdue, Minnesota, West Virginia, Duke and Temple.Barnes previously held offers from Penn State, Pitt, Maryland, Michigan, Virginia and South Carolina."I'll narrow it down around the start of the football season," Barnes said. "I'm waiting for some more offers to come in."Barnes has visited Penn State, Pitt, Michigan, Maryland and South Carolina."I can just hop in a car and visit Penn State," Barnes said. "But I'm not sure about any more visits right now."Barnes said he has a definite interest in Penn State and Pitt, but declined to name a leader or leaders. He is in no rush to select a college. "Most likely I'm going to take my official visits," he said. The 6-4 and 230-pound Barnes made 60 plus tackles including 20 for loss and eight sacks during his junior season.
